About Writing, Life and Writing About Life

When to Write

I’m sitting here at my computer. It is 7.37 am and I am eating my breakfast. My husband is making sure the boys have their packed lunches, breakfasts and are ready to go to school (I know, lucky aren’t I?). And I’m wondering if I ought to be able to get some writing done before I head off to work.
I’ve been planning and thinking about Book 3 (Out on a Limb) for a while now, and written the conclusion in longhand. Book 2 is at the publisher and I am working on coping with not being in control of that! And I have planned the content of the free download which goes along with Book 2, the writers’ book. So it is really time I got down to the nitty gritty and started writing. When I wrote Their Cancer – Your Journey I also had a plan, a much more detailed one down to a level where each little topic needed a few paragraphs writing, and took about 20 minutes or half an hour. Virtually all the information which went in there was in my head or my heart so I could just get on and write it in little pieces, and I did. But that is a long time ago now, and my life is different as I now have a daytime job to take care of.
So when shall I write? I’ve managed to get into the habit of rambling on here of a morning, at least when I have something to say. So should I write here? Well I think I will be starting to put some posts on here which are an extension of the content of my Book 2 free download. But how about Book 3? I don’t know if I can write that in such small chunks as I am aiming not to plan that to death. I want to invite inspiration from the collective wisdom, or wherever it is that great thoughts appear. I certainly don’t believe I have all the answers to handling the impact that spiritual development has on your relationships on my own. My gut feeling about that is that it might not work to do that in tiny pieces. But who knows? I think I have the germ of an idea for something that should go in the introduction so I’ll be back in the morning to put fingers to keyboard and see what comes out.

I love to hear from anyone and everyone, so do let me know what you're thinking
