About Writing, Life and Writing About Life

About

Hi, this is my space to talk about writing, and the way I think about life. I wrote my first book Their Cancer – Your Journey and published it in 2008 and since then writing has taken a back seat to family, life and earning a living. Now I am embarking on my next book and recording the process here. I have a strong idea of what the book will be, but only going through the process will let me see how it will end up. If you would like to take your book idea through to completion, I invite you to follow along with me and let me know how you are doing. It doesn’t matter when you might be doing this – just go back to The Beginning and follow along from there.

If you are interested in my day job, I currently work at a wonderful fabric shop in Bridport, Dorset on the south coast of England. Our website is at www.livingstonetextiles.com and as it is me that maintains the site there are plenty of my ramblings (about fabric) there.

  1. Your book sounds like an insightful one. My mother dies of lung cancer 31 years ago. It still hurts. Best wishes in your ongoing writing career.

    • Thanks Rochelle. The effects of cancer on the whole family certainly never go away. Now writing about happier things, though my Mum will never be there to see it.

  2. Hi Anne,
I’ve been enjoying your writing journey.
I have nominated you for the Liebster blogging award – to find out more, visit my blog http://alisonstanleychristianfiction.wordpress.com/2013/02/27/liebster-award-a-little-about-me/. I look forward to reading your answers to my questions – no pressure!
    Take care, Alison

  3. Hiya. I’m not sure if you’ve been nominated already – and if you have, here we go again! – but if not, consider yourself nominated by me for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. It’s to recognize others who consistently write great posts that the nominator looks forward to reading. My blog has my acceptance entry and the details…and congrats!

I love to hear from anyone and everyone, so do let me know what you're thinking
